  • Virginia birth, death and marriage records
  • Virginia Circuit Court records
  • Virginia State Corporation Commission records
  • Powers of attorney and affidavits notarized in Virginia
  • School or professional records properly prepared in Virginia

Virginia Routing Rules

Virginia does not authenticate out-of-state or federal documents. Federal records, including FBI background checks, go to the U.S. Department of State. Out-of-state records generally must be authenticated by their issuing state.

Current Virginia Document Rules

Virginia currently requires many eligible records to be recently issued and has specific requirements for notarized documents, vital records, court records, and SCC documents. Greenhouse checks the document against the current state requirements before submission.
