What Greenhouse Coordinates
Greenhouse reviews where your document was issued, how it was signed or certified, and where it will be used. We then coordinate the appropriate U.S. preparation and authentication route, including Virginia notarization when appropriate, state apostilles, federal apostilles or authentications, and additional embassy legalization when required.
Common Documents
- Birth, death and marriage certificates
- Court orders and divorce decrees
- Powers of attorney and affidavits
- Diplomas, transcripts and academic records
- FBI and qualifying federal records
- Corporate and commercial documents
Apostille vs. Authentication
Apostilles are used for qualifying public documents going to countries where the Hague Apostille Convention applies. Authentication certificates are used when the destination is outside that apostille relationship and may be followed by embassy or consular legalization.
Why We Review First
The client’s location does not decide the route. The issuing or notarizing jurisdiction, document type, destination country, and receiving authority do. Greenhouse verifies those details before quoting the file.
