FBI Reports Are Federal Documents

An FBI Identity History Summary is a U.S. federal document. It does not go to a state Secretary of State for apostille. For international use, the report is routed through the U.S. Department of State based on the destination country.

What Greenhouse Handles

Do Not Notarize the FBI Report

The U.S. Department of State instructs applicants not to notarize an eligible original federal document. Greenhouse reviews the report before submission to reduce avoidable routing errors.
