What Greenhouse Coordinates

Greenhouse reviews where the U.S. document was issued, coordinates appropriate Virginia notarization when needed, secures required state or federal authentication, and coordinates applicable embassy or consular legalization steps for use in Vietnam. The receiving authority may still require particular originals, certified copies, translations, or supporting records. For broader routing help, review our apostille and document authentication services.

Common File Types

Current Vietnam Processing Note

The Hague Apostille Convention is scheduled to enter into force for Vietnam on 11 September 2026. Until the Convention is effective and applicable to the specific file, U.S. documents may still require the traditional authentication/legalization chain. Greenhouse verifies the correct route at intake.

Why We Review First

Document routing depends on who issued the document, the receiving authority in Vietnam, and the intended use. Greenhouse confirms the correct sequence before quoting the file so unnecessary steps and avoidable rejections can be reduced.

Vietnam Document FAQ

Common Questions Before You Send a File

International-document requirements can vary by document and receiving authority. Greenhouse confirms the route at intake before processing begins.

Do U.S. documents for Vietnam need an apostille or embassy legalization?

Documents intended for use in Vietnam may require authentication and consular or embassy legalization rather than a standard apostille. Greenhouse reviews the issuing authority and destination requirements before the file is submitted.

Can Greenhouse handle an FBI background check for use in Vietnam?

Yes. FBI Identity History Summary documents are federal records. Greenhouse can review the Vietnam destination requirements and coordinate the appropriate U.S. federal apostille or authentication step. See our FBI background check apostille service for the federal workflow.

Can I send Greenhouse documents if I do not live in Virginia or Washington, DC?

Yes. Greenhouse accepts document-service requests from clients and professional partners nationwide. Your location does not determine the authentication authority; the issuing jurisdiction, document type and destination country do.

Can agencies send Greenhouse recurring Vietnam files?

Yes. Translation agencies, adoption agencies, immigration firms, law firms, global-mobility teams and other professional partners can use Greenhouse for repeat or white-label processing. See Agency Partnerships for the B2B workflow.
